Dawn Johnson, B.S.D.H., is a dedicated public health dental therapist practicing at GD Lebanon. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Science and Psychology from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2018, and later completed her dental training at Pacific University, graduating in 2022.

Previously a Toyota technician, Dawn served 9 years in the army prior to her transition into dentistry for the rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in her community. She finds joy in helping others, particularly when she can see the confidence her patients gain after receiving care.

Outside of work, Dawn enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, soccer, and gardening. At home, she and her two teenage boys tend to their goats, sheep, dogs, and garden, and they love playing soccer together.

Dr. Wang says, “Having the opportunity to change a person’s life for the better by helping them change their smile, relieve their pain, or educate them about proper oral care gives me the most reward.” She encourages her patients to be involved in their treatment in order to achieve the best results possible, and is always open to questions and is attentive to each patient’s needs.

After graduating from Norman Bethune Health Science University Dental School, China, Dr. Wang received her Dental Degree from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She also speaks Chinese.

Dr. Beatriz E. Fortanely, DDS, MS

Dr. Beatriz Fortanely is a board-certified orthodontist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized, high-quality care. She currently provides orthodontic treatment across multiple practices in the Austin area, including River Rock Dental, Signature Smiles Dentistry & Orthodontics, and previously with Castle Dental & Orthodontics and Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics. Her collaborative approach includes working closely with general dentists and mentoring orthodontic assistants to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.

Dr. Fortanely earned her Master of Science in Craniofacial Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of British Columbia, where she served as Chief Resident of her class. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating with multiple distinctions in education, research, and clinical excellence, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and an Invisalign Certified Provider.

An active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Texas Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association, Dr. Fortanely is committed to staying at the forefront of advances in orthodontic care. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and exploring National Parks.
