Dr. Vu says, “I am passionate about providing the highest possible quality of care for my patients and exceeding their expectations,” says Dr. Vu, who was voted one of Eugene’s top dentists in 2011. “The opportunity to meet their needs and improve their overall oral health is deeply satisfying.”

He has enjoyed practicing in Eugene since 2002, after receiving his Doctorate in Dentistry from Indiana University and graduating top of his class in clinical training. He has received advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry, including extensive training in Implantology.

Dr. Vu has performed more than 1,500 cases of root canal therapy and other procedures, including dental implants, extractions, dentures, crowns and bridges. Dr. Vu’s philosophy is heavily focused on preventive dentistry for children and adults: “I encourage and recommend all new patients and those seen on emergency basis to return for a comprehensive exam. This gives me the opportunity to develop long-term relationships and work on improving my patients’ overall oral health. The patients like it, too, because they experience fewer invasive procedures, less discomfort and lower costs.”

Dr. Vu and his wife, Tristen devote their free time to family and traveling. They also enjoy snowboarding, biking and watersports. Dr. Vu is a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Beatriz E. Fortanely, DDS, MS

Dr. Beatriz Fortanely is a board-certified orthodontist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized, high-quality care. She currently provides orthodontic treatment across multiple practices in the Austin area, including River Rock Dental, Signature Smiles Dentistry & Orthodontics, and previously with Castle Dental & Orthodontics and Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics. Her collaborative approach includes working closely with general dentists and mentoring orthodontic assistants to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.

Dr. Fortanely earned her Master of Science in Craniofacial Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of British Columbia, where she served as Chief Resident of her class. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating with multiple distinctions in education, research, and clinical excellence, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and an Invisalign Certified Provider.

An active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Texas Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association, Dr. Fortanely is committed to staying at the forefront of advances in orthodontic care. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and exploring National Parks.
