Dr. Tayler Pennington, D.D.S., is a skilled and dedicated general dentist with advanced training in oral surgery and implant dentistry. A top-ranked graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors, following a bachelor’s degree in Biology–Chemistry from Southern Nazarene University, where he graduated with the highest distinction.

Dr. Pennington has extensive experience across general dentistry, surgical procedures, and hospital-based care. He completed two rigorous oral surgery internships at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and Parkland Memorial Hospital/UT Southwestern, where he trained in complex surgical techniques, anesthesia, trauma management, and full-arch treatment workflows. His clinical background includes roles as an exodontist and general dentist across multiple Oregon communities, and he currently serves as the Managing Dentist at Affordable Dentures & Implants in Bend, OR. He continues to expand his expertise through advanced implant training, including Zest Mastership Full Arch and Implant Pathways Fast Track programs.

In addition to his clinical accomplishments, Dr. Pennington has contributed to published research in immunology and dermatologic inflammation and has presented his work at national conferences. He has earned numerous academic and professional honors, including the Distinguished Achievement in Oral Surgery Award from the Southwest Society of OMFS and induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

Committed to serving others, Dr. Pennington has volunteered with Good Shepherd Ministries, Oklahoma Mission of Mercy, Dentistry from the Heart, and multiple community events in Oregon. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Central Oregon Dental Society.

Dr. Garrett Masuda is a skilled and compassionate orthodontist dedicated to creating confident, healthy smiles through personalized care. Practicing at Gentle Dental Wood Village, Washington, Clackamas, and Woodstock, he brings a thoughtful and creative approach to orthodontics, viewing each smile as a unique puzzle to solve. Dr. Masuda earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific in 2019, followed by his dental degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2022. He then completed his specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Oregon Health & Science University in 2024.

Dr. Masuda is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Oregon State Society of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association. He finds joy in being part of his patients’ smile journeys and building lasting relationships throughout their treatment. Outside of the office, he enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, and exploring Portland’s food scene. A proud Los Angeles Lakers fan, Dr. Masuda also follows Formula 1 and unwinds with a good K-drama. Kim Erickson D.M.D., M.D., Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

ABOUT ME

As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Erickson appreciates her role in providing pain relief to her patients through often complex surgical procedures.

She says “I enjoy being able to heal people through both science and art by providing definitive surgical treatments which solve complicated and sometimes painful problems.” She applies a caring, detail-oriented approach to each patient’s case, taking time to solve their dental issues effectively, and thoughtfully provides treatment options that are specifically designed around each clients needs.

After graduating from New Mexico State University, Dr. Erickson received her Dental Degree from the Oregon Health & Science University and her Medical Degree from the Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is a member of the American Association Of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the National Dental Board of Anesthesia, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Oregon Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association and the Oregon Dental Association.

Dr. Erickson says, “In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and exotic food. I enjoy swimming, surfing and snow skiing.” Dr. Erickson is also a Retired US Navy Veteran.
