Dr. Alti’s love of building models outside of work makes the intricacy of dentistry closer to his heart.

Outside of work, Dr. Alti’s interests include swing dancing, racquet ball, and, of course, model building.

Dr. Hoopes says, “The best part of being a Orthodontist is that I get to merge science and art to create beautiful smiles! I also really love getting to know my patients and hearing updates on their lives.”

“The thing that first attracted me to dentistry was that I had a great dentist growing up. While in college, I started volunteering at community dental clinics and saw the amazing differences dentists can make in improving people’s quality of life! Now I get to do that every day.”

After graduating from the University of Utah, Dr. Hoopes received his Dental Degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry. He received his Certificate in Orthodontics and his M.B.A, from the Roseman University of Health Sciences. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, he’s a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Hoopes says, “Away from the office I enjoy playing the cello, hiking and camping, rock hounding, trying new food and exploring new places. I’m new(-ish) to Portland and I’d love any good restaurant recommendations!”

Dr. Hana Walkup, DMD, is a general dentist known for her commitment to providing gentle, compassionate care and fostering positive patient experiences. Graduating from Portland State University and earning her dental degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University in 2006, Dr. Walkup has continually demonstrated a dedication to advancing her clinical skills through ongoing education and professional development. She finds true joy in educating patients on the importance of prevention and dental health, as well as easing their anxieties about treatment. With a deep understanding of the apprehension many feel about dental visits, Dr. Walkup makes it her mission to ensure every appointment is a positive experience.

About Me

As a Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Buenjemia enjoys building doctor-patient relationships and educating her patients on the importance of dental health. She takes pride in helping her young patients establish excellent oral care habits that they’ll carry into adulthood. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of San Diego, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She holds a certification for Pediatric Dentistry from Boston University and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Away from the office, Dr. Buenjemia loves exploring outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, and enjoys baking and reading to unwind.
