About Me

Dr. Eric Eltzroth hails from southern Ohio and pursued his Associate’s degree in Texas before continuing his education at Purdue University and the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in Indiana. During dental school, Dr. Eltzroth enlisted in the US Air Force, embarking on a year-long residency post-graduation that honed his expertise in all facets of dentistry, including extractions and implant placement.

Transitioning from military service, Dr. Eltzroth joined the US Public Health Service, notably volunteering for forensic dental duties at ground zero after the 2001 attacks. Relocating to Chico, California, he established a successful solo dental practice, later moving to Eagle Point following a series of devastating fires that impacted his family. With a background that includes roles at the Pentagon and as Regional Dental Director for a nationwide DSO, Dr. Eltzroth currently applies his extensive training and experience at Interdent Service Corporation.

Alongside his wife, he shares a passion for hiking and travel, recently embarking on a trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Together, they raise alpacas and are proud owners of Yana, their livestock guard dog. Dr. Eltzroth eagerly anticipates leveraging his wealth of expertise in his new role.

Tanya McDonald D.D.S., General Dentist

About Me

Dr. Tanya McDonald is a passionate dentist specializing in General Dentistry, serving patients at GD Ashland in Southern Oregon.

She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2018 after completing her undergraduate studies in Biology at Indiana University in 2014. Dr. McDonald’s journey into dentistry began as a dental assistant, where she discovered her fascination with the artistic aspect of restoring teeth and the profound connection between dental health and overall wellness.

Her experiences working in underserved communities both in the United States and internationally further ignited her passion for dentistry, which she describes as a medium for personal and professional growth. Driven by a commitment to delivering exceptional care, she ensures that every patient receives the best possible treatment tailored to their unique needs. One of the aspects Dr. McDonald enjoys most about her profession is working closely with patients to understand how their dental health impacts their overall well-being.

She finds great satisfaction in restoring and maintaining her patients’ ability to chew, speak, and smile, recognizing the transformative effect it can have on their lives. Outside of her professional life,

Dr. McDonald cherishes spending time with her husband and three young boys, embracing the outdoor beauty of Southern Oregon as they develop their family homestead. Her personal interests include gardening, mountain biking, snowboarding, and promoting healthy living. As a patient advocate, Dr. McDonald is deeply committed to providing the highest quality of care, ensuring that each patient’s journey towards optimal dental health is supported with compassion and expertise.
