A member of the Gentle Dental team since 2005, Dr. Sheikh successfully achieves these details in his work and delivers a positive experience to each of his patients. Dr. Sheikh, a high school valedictorian, completed his undergraduate studies in Psychobiology at UCLA, before attending the prestigious Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for his D.M.D. degree. While at Nova Southeastern, he trained particularly in advanced techniques in modern dental care delivery. Currently, he is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Nevada Dental Association, and the Southern Nevada Dental Society.

Outside of the office, Dr. Sheikh has dedicated much of his time to empower his community by creating a ground-breaking program to tutor incarcerated youth. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys performing magic tricks and playing basketball in his spare time. Dr. Sheikh welcomes new patients, and looks forward to showing you the Gentle Dental difference!

Dr. Esther Jang earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2015. She then pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 2021. Dr. Jang completed her post-graduate orthodontic training at the University of Connecticut, earning her M.S. in Orthodontics in 2024.

As an orthodontist, Dr. Jang is passionate about transforming her patients' lives by giving them the confidence of a beautiful smile. She enjoys building strong relationships with her patients and providing personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

Outside of work, Dr. Jang enjoys playing tennis with friends and hitting the gym after work to stay active. She is dedicated to maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle while helping others achieve their own wellness goals through orthodontics.

ABOUT ME

Dr. Johl says “I love my profession and I enjoy the artistic aspects of dentistry. Giving patients a beautiful smile is a joy for us both. It’s an added satisfaction for me to witness the improvement of my patients’ self esteem as their course of treatments progress.” Often when patients first come to see him they are in pain, and when they leave they are relieved–it’s a very positive process for them both. After graduating from Cal State University, Chico, Dr. Johl received his Dental Degree from the USC School of Dentistry, and continued his Endodontic studies there after graduation. He has received the Doctors Ought-to-Care Award and is an active member of the American Dental Association. And he speaks Spanish too! In his free time, Dr. Johl can be found playing basketball and golf. He likes to travel and enjoys road trip adventures.

Yen Le, DDS, MS is a board-eligible periodontist dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality periodontal and implant care. She is known for her adaptability, clinical precision, and patient-centered approach, with a focus on helping patients achieve long-term oral health through education and personalized treatment planning.

Dr. Le earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA School of Dentistry and completed her Advanced Periodontics Certificate and Master of Science at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She provides a full scope of periodontal services, including scaling and root planing, osseous surgery, crown lengthening, guided tissue regeneration, soft tissue grafting, sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, dental implant surgery, and peri-implantitis treatment. She has experience working as both an associate and traveling periodontist across multiple clinical settings.

Dr. Le also completed a General Practice Residency at St. Vincent’s Charity Medical Center in Cleveland, where she delivered comprehensive dental care to adult, pediatric, medically compromised, and special-needs patients in a hospital-based environment. She holds an active California dental license, DEA registration, and BLS certification, and is currently seeking opportunities as an associate or traveling periodontist.

Dr. Pannu exhibited a profound dedication to art and science from a young age. As he progressed through school, his dual interests continued to shape his academic pursuits. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. He graduated with high distinction with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Minnesota.

With specialized training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Indiana University, Dr. Pannu brings a wealth of expertise and a compassionate touch to Gentle Dental. He is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon specializing in dental implantology, full-arch implant rehabilitation, anesthesia and complex dentoalveolar surgery including dental extractions and bone grafting.

Dr. Pannu chose to work for Gentle Dental because of the support system that Gentle Dental has set up for their providers to help them deliver the best possible patient care. When he is not working, he loves to spend time with his family and friends, and also loves exploring the beautiful outdoors of Nevada.
