Dr. Evert Cowan, D.D.S., is a general dentist at Gentle Dental Murrieta. He initially earned a degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland and the University of Pittsburgh before pursuing his D.D.S. from Loma Linda Dental School. Dr. Cowan completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at NYU Langone.

Passionate about the hands-on and engineering aspects of dentistry, Dr. Cowan enjoys working closely with his patients to deliver high-quality care. He takes great satisfaction in seeing the positive impact his work has on patients' smiles and their excitement with the results.

Outside the office, Dr. Cowan enjoys road cycling, hiking, and is a car enthusiast with a love for both German and JDM vehicles. He remains dedicated to continuously learning and advancing his skills in the engineering elements of dentistry.

Dr. Oliver graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Her career in dentistry began in high school, when she worked as a dental office receptionist. She later earned her Registered Dental Assistant license and supported herself through college and dental school while working as a dental assistant.

Committed to continuing education, Dr. Oliver pursued advanced training in esthetics, implants, and occlusion at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She also successfully completed a mini-residency in Dental Sleep Medicine at UCLA, enabling her to provide solutions for patients affected by snoring and sleep apnea.

Dr. Oliver is a member of several distinguished professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, San Diego County Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Outside the office, Dr. Oliver enjoys decorating cakes, making beaded jewelry, reading, and traveling. She also takes piano and dance lessons. She has been married for more than 15 years and has three daughters and a Shih Tzu named Ziggy.

About Me

Growing up, Dr. Sales was inspired by the work of her own dentist, as well as her mother, a dental assistant. After witnessing the care and success of these mentors, she decided to pursue dentistry as her own career. With over a decade of experience as a General Dentist, she most enjoys being able to bring smiles to her patients’ faces.

A graduate of University of West Florida in the area of Biology, Dr. Sales went on to University of Florida College of Dentistry for her D.M.D. degree. After completing her studies, she went through two General Practice Residencies: the first focused on treating medically compromised patients within a hospital setting, and the second focused on oral surgery and leading dental students in the urgent care clinic at UCLA.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Sales loves spending time with her two children. She enjoys outdoor activities, watching movies, and doing Zumba!

Dr. Pootrakul is committed to the highest quality dental care. As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon he appreciates his role in providing pain relief to his patients through often complex surgical procedures. He applies a caring, detail-oriented approach to each patient’s case, taking time to solve their dental issues effectively, and thoughtfully provides treatment options that are specifically designed around each patient’s needs. Patients that have had traumatic dental visits in the past at other offices, are pleasantly surprised with his kind manner and gentle approach to Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. Whether you are having a simple extraction or all four wisdom teeth removed under sedation you will feel more like you are at a spa then a dental office. His scope of practice ranges from extractions to full facial reconstruction. His education and surgery training allow him to handle the most complex medical and dental cases without the need to go to a hospital. After graduating from St John’s University, Dr. Pootrakul earned his D.D.S. from the SUNY Buffalo School of Dentistry. He received his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training from the Westchester Medical Center. He also speaks Spanish and Farsi. Away from the office, Dr. Pootrakul likes spending time with his wife and son. He enjoys relaxing with exercise and is a classic car enthusiast.
