Dr. Maria Isabel Acherman, D.D.S., is a dedicated general dentist at GD Irvine. She earned her dental degree from Unicoc in 2008 before furthering her education at Loma Linda School of Dentistry, where she obtained her D.D.S. in 2020.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Acherman is passionate about connecting with her patients and ensuring they feel confident and comfortable with their dental care. She was inspired to pursue dentistry after positive childhood experiences at the dentist and was drawn to the profession’s unique combination of science, artistry, and manual skill. She finds great fulfillment in improving both the function and aesthetics of her patients’ smiles while fostering strong relationships built on trust and compassion.

Dr. Morvarid Emamy, a highly accomplished orthodontist, practicing at the Gentle Dental Orange office and recently joining the Gentle Dental Irvine office. She graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science, and earned her DMD from the Arizona School of Dentistry, where she was in the top 5% of her class and completed her Orthodontic Residency.

Dr. Emamy brings a wealth of experience to her practice, holding additional degrees in Public Health (MPH) and Business Administration (MBA), which enhance her comprehensive approach to patient care. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and actively participates in professional organizations like the American Association of Orthodontists, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of Orthodontic Excellence. With certifications in Invisalign and advanced training in clear aligner therapy and lingual (hidden) braces, she ensures that her patients receive cutting-edge treatment.

Outside the office, Dr. Emamy enjoys staying active by working out, skiing, and playing tennis, as well as reading, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is passionate about ongoing education, always striving to stay at the forefront of orthodontic advancements, and is dedicated to delivering compassionate, individualized care to each of her patients.

Dr. Stephen Kallaos’ goal is to provide a pleasant periodontic evaluation and an informative discussion of the options for attaining optimum oral health. He offers multiple levels of sedation to make treatment for his patients as comfortable as possible. He is also very active with his peers to stay on top of the latest technology and procedures available. His membership to industry associations include the Academy of Osseo integration, the American Dental Association, and the California Society of Periodontists, to name a few.

After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from UCLA, Dr. Kallaos continued his studies as a Bruin, entering the UCLA School of Dentistry for his D.D.S. degree. He then focused his studies on Periodontics and earned his certificate in this specialty from the UC San Francisco School of Dentistry. He is Board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Kallaos has been practicing Periodontics since 1998.

Outside of the office, he enjoys bicycling, snow skiing, and Sudoku, and his favorite author is Dan Brown. He is married and has three children.

Dr. Sai Patadia is an Endodontist who received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and specialty training from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. He graduated with honors, received educational scholarships, and was involved with many organizations and associations.

With a genuine desire to create positive dental experiences, he combines advanced endodontic practices with a warm, empathetic demeanor, ensuring that each patient receives exceptional care in a relaxed setting.

In his free time, Dr. Sai likes to spend time with his family and friends, travel internationally, and exercise. Education Affiliations

Dr. Ronald L. Wright is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive training and decades of experience in surgical dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Wright then pursued advanced specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through residencies at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Wright became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1998 and holds active dental licenses in both California and Nevada. During his career, he has remained committed to professional leadership and education. He previously served as Chairperson of the Oral Surgery and Dentistry Department at Hoag Presbyterian Hospital in Newport Beach, California from 2002 to 2004.

Throughout his career, Dr. Wright has been recognized for academic excellence, receiving numerous awards during dental school including honors in Gross Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Oral Pathology, and Fixed Prosthodontics, as well as the Eastman-Kodak Scholarship Award. He has also contributed to professional education, presenting on the management of aggressive benign bone lesions using cryotherapy to the Southern California Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Wright is actively involved in many professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and several regional dental and oral surgery societies.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wright is dedicated to community service. He volunteers with the organization Pathways to Independence, providing oral surgery and treatment at no cost to women recovering from abuse or substance rehabilitation programs. As the first oral surgeon to join the organization, he has helped expand access to essential surgical care for women rebuilding their lives.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Wright enjoys spending time with his family. He is married and has five children.
