Dr. Maoj Alosachie, D.D.S. is a dedicated general dentist with a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, where she was recognized on the President’s List for academic excellence. Her training emphasized comprehensive oral healthcare, including preventive dentistry, restorative procedures, endodontics, and oral surgery.

Before entering dental school, Dr. Alosachie completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego, and holds an associate degree in Applied Mathematics and Sciences from Cuyamaca College. Fluent in both English and Arabic, she strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for every patient. Dr. Alosachie brings several years of experience as a dental assistant and clinic manager, allowing her to approach dentistry with both technical precision and compassionate communication. Laleh Hedayat D.D.S., General Dentist 

Dr. Laleh Hedayat is a highly experienced and compassionate dentist with over 17 years of clinical practice, dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to patients of all ages. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Tehran Azad University School of Dentistry in 1997 and has since pursued additional training in advanced restorative dental techniques and implant placement and surgery.

Dr. Hedayat's career reflects a deep commitment to patient well-being, having practiced in various locations across the U.S. and internationally, offering a wide range of dental services such as preventive and comprehensive care, restorative treatments, extractions, and prosthetics. She has also served as a clinical instructor at Oregon Health Sciences University for over 17 years, helping to shape the next generation of dental professionals. She is also involved in volunteer efforts, providing dental care to underserved communities both locally and abroad, with her most recent volunteer work in Guatemala.

Fluent in English, Persian (Farsi), and Spanish, Dr. Hedayat communicates with a diverse range of patients. In her free time, she continues to advance her knowledge in the field of dentistry and actively participates in dental outreach programs.

Dr. Abbas Merchant, D.D.S.
Dr. Abbas Merchant is a seasoned general dentist with over three decades of clinical experience and a steadfast commitment to delivering comprehensive, high-quality dental care. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, Dr. Merchant holds a Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry and a postgraduate certificate in Orthodontics from the United States Dental Institute. Since founding his private practice, Dental Care PC, in 1997, he has been dedicated to providing a full spectrum of general dentistry services—from preventive care and surgical extractions to implant restoration and orthodontics—while mentoring staff and overseeing treatment protocols.

Beyond the operatory, Dr. Merchant has contributed to the field as a part-time clinical instructor at Midwestern University and remains active in community outreach. He has volunteered with the American Academy of General Dentistry’s Donated Dental Services Program and served in leadership roles on health and welfare boards supporting underserved populations. Now based in San Diego, Dr. Merchant enjoys an active lifestyle outside of dentistry, with interests in pickleball, biking, kayaking, and reading.

Dr. Mana Naeim is an orthodontist practicing at Gentle Dental Escondido, Gentle Dental Moreno Valley, and Gentle Dental Carlsbad. She graduated from UC Irvine in 2012 with a major in Psychology and Social Behavior before earning her D.D.S. from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2019. Dr. Naeim completed her post-graduate studies at the University of the Pacific and holds multiple advanced certifications in Invisalign for complex cases, airway orthodontics, and early interceptive orthodontic treatment. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and an ABO Board Certified Orthodontist.

Dr. Naeim is fluent in Farsi and a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, California Association of Orthodontics, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. She was awarded the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award, and the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award at UCLA, among others.

What drew her to dentistry was the combination of people, science, creativity, and technology, and she finds joy in building long-term relationships with her patients. Dr. Naeim especially enjoys helping people of all ages achieve a healthy, beautiful, and functional smile. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, experimenting with recipes, spending time with neighborhood dogs, and discovering new coffee shops and restaurants. She looks forward to working with patients to create their dream smiles.

Mohamed Hassan D.D.S. Periodontist

About Me

Dr. Hassan says, “As a Periodontist, I enjoy providing my patients with thorough evaluations and informative solutions. I help them decide for themselves what is ultimately in their best interest. Their choices can have a very positive impact on their well-being.”

Dr. Hassan feels that building a foundation of trust by treating his patients as special individuals is vital. He understands how uneasy some patients may feel about their dental visits, and how he can make a difference in providing a relaxing and comfortable experience. Dr. Hassan received his Dental Degree and his Advanced Periodontics Specialty Certificate from the dental school of the University of Southern California, (USC). Dr. Hassan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He also speaks Spanish.

When Dr. Hassan is not helping patients, he enjoys jogging, reading,  and traveling with his family.

Haris Lakisic DMD, Endodontics

About Me

Entering the field of dentistry was a natural choice for Dr. Lakisic: his father and brother were both dentists, and introduced him to this profession of helping others. He enjoys being able to help relieve people’s pain and discomfort, as well as improve better health and esthetics. Dr. Haris Lakisic grew up in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but became a refugee and escaped to Southern California at the age of 15 due to war in his homeland.

After finishing high school in Costa Mesa, Dr. Lakisic attended Pepperdine University for his Bachelor’s degree, then received a scholarship to attend the University of Pennsylvania for his D.M.D. degree.

During his four years of dental school, he was consistently ranked in the top 10 of his class. Dr. Lakisic’s hobbies include travel, fishing, and outdoor activities.

Dr. Pootrakul is committed to the highest quality dental care. As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon he appreciates his role in providing pain relief to his patients through often complex surgical procedures. Whether you are having a simple extraction or all four wisdom teeth removed under sedation you will feel more like you are at a spa then a dental office. His scope of practice ranges from extractions to full facial reconstruction. His education and surgery training allow him to handle the most complex medical and dental cases without the need to go to a hospital. After graduating from St John’s University, Dr. Pootrakul earned his D.D.S. from the SUNY Buffalo School of Dentistry. He received his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training from the Westchester Medical Center. He also speaks Spanish and Farsi. Away from the office, Dr. Pootrakul likes spending time with his wife and son. He enjoys relaxing with exercise and is a classic car enthusiast.
