“As a kid, I had a lot of cavities and one time I chipped my two front teeth when I fell on my face by the playground. The intense pain not only prevented me from eating and drinking my favorite foods, but also made me hide my smile from friends at school. Thankfully, my parents were dentists, and they relieved my pain and restored my smile.“

“That experience inspired me to become someone who could have that same impact on others’ lives. As I grew up, I discovered my growing passion for dentistry and decided to follow my parents’ footsteps. Dentistry is a unique discipline that combines the principles of medicine, science, engineering, and art. It is both a challenging and fun profession because it requires one to have well-rounded knowledge and synthesize ideas from diverse fields to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan and skillfully execute it.”

After graduating from UCLA, Dr. Liu received his Dental Degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, he’s a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. He also speaks Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.

Away from the office, Dr. Liu relaxes by playing the piano, hiking and travel.

Deborah Loh D.D.S., M.S., Orthodontist

ABOUT ME

Dr. Loh says, “I look forward to developing a lasting, positive relationship as your orthodontist. I care about my patients well-being and strive to ensure that their experience is pleasant. Based on your concerns, I will develop individualized treatment plans specific to you or your childs needs.”

After graduating from the University of Southern California, Dr. Loh received her Dental Degree from the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. To keep up with evolving technology, she’s a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Dr. Loh is a fan of the USC Trojans, the Lakers, and the Dodgers.

Dr. Loh enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, staying active, discovering new restaurants (recommendations are always welcome!), and traveling. She is actively involved with Give Kids A Smile, Dental Humanitarian Outreach Program in Kenya, mobile dental clinics and week-long dental service trips to Guatemala and El Salvador.

She received her bachelor’s and dental degrees from UCLA and her master’s degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Zierhut has taught at the UCLA School of Dentistry in both the Fixed Prosthodontics Department as well as the Orthodontics Department.

Dr. Zierhut has practiced orthodontics for the last 20 years and is a member of the principal local, state and national dental and orthodontic societies.

After graduating from San Jose State University, Dr. Reyes received his Dental Degree from the Los Angeles University School of Dentistry. He achieved clinical honors in endodontics, periodontics, and preventive dentistry. He’s a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. He also speaks Tagalog. Dr. Reyes says, “Away from the office I enjoy basketball and cycling. As an an avid musician, dentistry first became appealing to me because of its hands-on nature.”

Dr. Ghiai enjoys making a difference in peoples lives, whether it is easing a patients anxiety, taking them out of pain or improving their smile. Her goal is to provide a caring, comfortable and superior dental treatment so that each visit is an outstanding dental experience.

Dr. Ghiai loves her profession because it gives her the opportunity to interact with so many people on a daily basis. She feels fortunate to have a career that allows her to improve her patients’ health, confidence and self-esteem. After graduating from California State University at Northridge with a degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology, Dr. Ghiai received her Dental Degree from the UCLA Dental School.

She was awarded her Endodontics Certificate from USC Dental School. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, she’s a member of the American Dental Association. She also speaks Farsi.

Away from the office, Dr. Ghiai likes knitting and reading for relaxation. She also likes ice skating and loves to travel.

Friendly Dr. Ahdout is a dentist on a mission. Because of the effect dentistry has on peoples overall health, Dr. Ahdout feels his greatest task as a Periodontist is to help restore teeth to optimal health and thereby promote a pain-free and infection-free life. It’s an added satisfaction for him to witness the improvement of his patients’ self-esteem as their course of treatment progresses and their smiles and well-being improves.

After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dr. Ahdout received his Dental Degree from the famous University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He has more than two decades of clinical experience and keeps abreast of cutting edge technology. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. He speaks Persian also! In his free time, Dr. Ahdout relaxes by enjoying the cinema and sports.
