Dr. Jacquelyn Freeman, D.D.S., is a skilled and compassionate general dentist at GD Shea. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Med from Baylor University in 2009 before obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 2013. She is an active member of the IAOMT and IABDM, staying engaged in advancements within the dental field.

Dr. Freeman's passion for dentistry began at a young age, inspired by her love for detail, art, science, and medicine. She values connecting with her patients, helping them achieve healthy mouths and bodies, and incorporating artistry into her work. She strongly believes in the oral-systemic connection and strives to promote overall wellness through comprehensive dental care.

Outside the office, Dr. Freeman enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, playing tennis and golf, traveling, and cherishing moments with her family and her beloved dog, Gracie.

Dr. Timothy Yu, D.M.D., M.S., is a highly skilled orthodontist practicing at GD Avondale, GD Greenfield, GD Surprise, and GD Palm Valley. A graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, Dr. Yu earned his dental degree in 2005 and completed his post-graduate studies in Orthodontics in 2007. His academic journey began with a biology degree from Oberlin College in 1994.

Dr. Yu is passionate about the blend of art and science in dentistry, particularly in orthodontics, where he has the opportunity to create beautiful, esthetic smiles while respecting the biological principles that ensure safety and effectiveness. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the Arizona State Orthodontic Association.

What Dr. Yu enjoys most about his profession is witnessing how transforming a patient's smile can boost their self-confidence. He values the long-term relationships he builds with his patients, often watching them grow and evolve throughout the years.

Outside of the office, Dr. Yu enjoys staying active by playing tennis, basketball, and golf. He also treasures spending quality time with his wife and two sons.

Haroon Ashraf D.D.S. Periodontist

Dr. Ashraf is excited to be serving the people of his home state of Arizona. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona, he pursued his dental education at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Subsequently, he completed a residency in periodontics at the same institution earning a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Periodontics. Dr. Ashraf is involved with the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and Arizona Dental Association.

His most recent achievement includes being the recipient of the John F. Prichard award for research involving antimicrobial properties within biomaterials used in clinical practice. His expertise includes treatment of gum disease, implant therapy, bone grafting, and gingival recession. Even when times are busy, Dr. Ashraf keeps up with his favorite Arizona sports team with one heartbreaking loss after the next. Nonetheless, his optimistic personality allows him to appreciate the positive aspects of life including the patients he meets on a daily basis. Having an interest in their life journey and goals, he aims to provide periodontal care that patient’s can be proud to look back on.

Dr. Jason Goldberg is a dedicated oral and maxillofacial surgeon serving multiple Gentle Dental locations across Arizona, including Tucson, Peoria, Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2016 and completed his advanced residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Yale New Haven Health in 2020. His academic journey began at the University of Western Ontario, where he studied Physiology and Psychology, graduating in 2012.

Dr. Goldberg is an active member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has earned recognition for his contributions to the field, receiving the prestigious Philip J. Boyne Memorial Scholarship in 2018 at the AAOMS Dental Implant Conference, as well as the John P. Kelly Research Award for Most Outstanding Research Project during his residency.

Dr. Goldberg’s passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery was sparked early in his education when he observed the transformative impact of a surgical procedure on a patient. This profound experience motivated him to pursue a career where he could help others in a similarly life-changing way.

In his free time, Dr. Goldberg enjoys hiking, playing tennis, making music, and spending quality time with his friends and family. He is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality surgical care, striving to create a positive and supportive experience for every patient.
