About Me

Dr. McGuire is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, but his parents relocated to Phoenix in 1988, before it became a sprawling metroplex. He attended Brophy College Prep and ventured out to Los Angeles for his undergraduate studies, which he completed at Loyola Marymount University. There he majored in biology and knew early on he would attend dental school.

After completing his bachelor’s program, he was accepted into Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he earned his DDS in 2007. He then went on to complete an orthodontics residency at Marquette in 2009. Before returning to the Phoenix Valley, he practiced in Dallas, Texas, for two years.

Outside of the office, Dr. McGuire loves interacting with his patients, and enjoys watching them grow up, finish school, get new jobs, and live their lives. Going through ups and downs with a patient reminds him that before they were patients, they were just people looking to fix a problem. And he feels lucky and honored to be able to provide a solution.

Dr. Arnold Cullum is a skilled prosthodontist practicing at Gentle Dental locations in Tempe, Tucson, and Peoria. With a strong educational background and over two decades of experience, Dr. Cullum is dedicated to restoring smiles and enhancing the quality of life for his patients. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loyola University Chicago College of Dental Surgery in 1992, followed by advanced training in Prosthodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1995. Prior to dental school, he completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at the University of Alberta in 1994.

Dr. Cullum’s expertise in prosthodontics allows him to provide comprehensive solutions for complex dental needs, from crowns and bridges to full mouth rehabilitation. His commitment to precise, patient-centered care ensures that each patient receives a personalized and comfortable experience.

Outside of the office, Dr. Cullum enjoys a variety of hobbies and is passionate about bringing a positive impact to his patients' lives through exceptional dental care. He looks forward to creating beautiful, functional smiles that help his patients regain confidence and comfort.

Dr. Jason Goldberg is a dedicated oral and maxillofacial surgeon serving multiple Gentle Dental locations across Arizona, including Tucson, Peoria, Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2016 and completed his advanced residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Yale New Haven Health in 2020. His academic journey began at the University of Western Ontario, where he studied Physiology and Psychology, graduating in 2012.

Dr. Goldberg is an active member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has earned recognition for his contributions to the field, receiving the prestigious Philip J. Boyne Memorial Scholarship in 2018 at the AAOMS Dental Implant Conference, as well as the John P. Kelly Research Award for Most Outstanding Research Project during his residency.

Dr. Goldberg’s passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery was sparked early in his education when he observed the transformative impact of a surgical procedure on a patient. This profound experience motivated him to pursue a career where he could help others in a similarly life-changing way.

In his free time, Dr. Goldberg enjoys hiking, playing tennis, making music, and spending quality time with his friends and family. He is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality surgical care, striving to create a positive and supportive experience for every patient.

Robert Yong D.D.S., Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Yong says, “The best part of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the ability to change people’s lives. From restoring smiles with dental implants to saving faces through reconstruction it’s a very rewarding profession.”

As a highly trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Yong specializes in Trauma, Orthognathic Surgery, Pathology, Bone Grafting, Dentoalveolar Surgery, Dental Implants, and Outpatient Anesthesia. Dr. Yong is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Yong completed a General Practice Residency at the Nassau University Medical Center.

After finishing his postgraduate dental training he went on to complete his Oral Surgery training in with the University of California San Francisco, Community Health Centers in Fresno, CA. In an effort to keep up with technology and great advances in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Yong regularly attends numerous training and educational seminars.

He is also an active member of several organizations including the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Arizona Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Western Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
