Dr. D’Angelo Blackhorse, D.M.D. is a compassionate and skilled general dentist dedicated to serving his community through high-quality, patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona and his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Human Biology emphasis from Brigham Young University–Idaho. Dr. Blackhorse provides comprehensive dental services across all aspects of general dentistry, with advanced experience in CAD/CAM same-day porcelain restorations, endodontics, oral surgery, bone grafting, removable prosthetics, and implant treatment. He is also fluent in Spanish and experienced in both nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation, allowing him to make patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout treatment.

Currently practicing at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, Dr. Blackhorse has dedicated much of his career to improving oral health within Native and underserved communities. His previous work with the Seattle Indian Health Board and Omni Dental Group gave him experience in both public health and private practice settings, where he developed a reputation for teamwork, leadership, and compassionate patient care. A proud member of the Washington State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Society of American Indian Dentists, Dr. Blackhorse is deeply committed to mentorship, growth, and continuing education. In addition to his domestic service, he has volunteered internationally, including on a dental service trip to Samoa providing prosthetic and restorative care to local residents.

ABOUT ME

Dr. Joh says, “I love creating a happy and healthy smile in my patients. Growing up, I had always wanted to help people in the heath care field and having seen many of my family members with teeth issues naturally directed me into dentistry.” Dr. Joh feels fortunate to have a career that allows him to improve his patients’ health, confidence and self-esteem. After graduating from University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Joh received his Dental Degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, he’s a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association. He also speaks Korean. Away from the office, Dr. Joh likes getting onto the golf course and keeping up with USC football, (Go Trojans!)

Dr. Timothy Yu, D.M.D., M.S., is a highly skilled orthodontist practicing at GD Avondale, GD Greenfield, GD Surprise, and GD Palm Valley. A graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, Dr. Yu earned his dental degree in 2005 and completed his post-graduate studies in Orthodontics in 2007. His academic journey began with a biology degree from Oberlin College in 1994.

Dr. Yu is passionate about the blend of art and science in dentistry, particularly in orthodontics, where he has the opportunity to create beautiful, esthetic smiles while respecting the biological principles that ensure safety and effectiveness. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the Arizona State Orthodontic Association.

What Dr. Yu enjoys most about his profession is witnessing how transforming a patient's smile can boost their self-confidence. He values the long-term relationships he builds with his patients, often watching them grow and evolve throughout the years.

Outside of the office, Dr. Yu enjoys staying active by playing tennis, basketball, and golf. He also treasures spending quality time with his wife and two sons.
