Dr. Aquino says, “As a participant in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, I’m grateful for the opportunities this country has given to me,” he said.
“Even though I had to go through so many hurdles to get there, I wouldn’t change it. From the bottom of my heart, I’m very, very thankful.”

Meet Dr. Lorena Ibarra, a compassionate dentist fluent in Spanish. Driven by a motivation to contribute to individuals’ health and better communities through oral health, Dr. Ibarra was drawn to the field of dentistry. With years of experience, she takes great pleasure in participating in a child’s development and lifelong practices of better health. Dr. Ibarra loves seeing perspectives from a child’s eyes and helping them form healthy habits.
In her free time, Dr. Ibarra can be found exploring the great outdoors by hiking, reading, or cooking. Originally from Oregon, Dr. Ibarra is proud to serve the community she calls home. Dr. Ibarra wants her patients to know that she is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care and is fluent in Spanish to better serve the diverse community. A graduate of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Dr. Zhen began his journey toward dentistry after a personal experience in high school when he broke a tooth in an accident. The process of having it repaired not only restored his smile but also sparked a deep passion for the transformative power of dental care. He realized how dental health could enhance a person's confidence and overall quality of life, motivating him to pursue a career where he could help others in similar ways.
Before attending dental school, Dr. Zhen earned his undergraduate degree in BioHealth Sciences from Oregon State University.
