Dr. Katherine Sonoda, or as we like to call her, “Dr. Kat”, is a general dentist who is deeply passionate about working with children. She loves spending time with her patients, sharing stories about superheroes and princesses, while helping them learn how to keep their teeth healthy. Dr. Kat is compassionate and has a knack for helping children feel comfortable in the dental chair. She creates a positive working environment and is committed to providing the highest level of care.

Dr. Kat focuses on preventive care and educating families the importance of oral health. She received a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and is an active member of both the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She proudly serves our country as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. Outside of the office, Dr. Kat loves spending time with her husband and children exploring Portland. Her family enjoys discovering new foods, traveling, and adventuring to local events and festivals.

Dr. Priyanka Srivastava is a dedicated orthodontist practicing at GD Newberg and GD Salem, bringing her expertise and passion for creating beautiful, healthy smiles to her patients. Proficient in Spanish, Dr. Srivastava values the diversity of her field and is committed to continual learning and growth.

Dr. Srivastava earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from New York University in 2016, followed by her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2021. She pursued advanced training in Orthodontics at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2024. As a member of professional associations including AAO, MASO, ADA, CDA, and ADEA,

Driven by her love for working with diverse individuals and her passion for creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Srivastava finds orthodontics to be a dynamic profession that offers endless opportunities for creativity and growth. Outside of her practice, Dr. Srivastava enjoys a variety of hobbies including reading, rock climbing, hiking, running, kickboxing, and spending quality time with her Mini Australian Shepherd named Cody. She empathizes with her patients’ desires for an esthetic smile and is dedicated to making their dreams a reality through personalized care and attention to detail.
