Dr. Javier Saldana, DDS

Dr. Javier Saldana earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX, where he was actively involved in student leadership and community outreach. He served as Vice President of Delta Sigma Delta and as Social Chair of the Hispanic Dental Society, roles that allowed him to organize events, strengthen community connections, and support fellow dental students.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Saldana is passionate about improving access to oral healthcare for diverse communities. During dental school, he volunteered extensively at Cooper Dental Clinic and North Dallas Shared Ministries, providing free dental treatment under faculty supervision. He also participated in Tooth Talks, where he educated elementary school children on oral health, and contributed to multiple service organizations including The Big Event at Texas A&M and New York Cares.

Dr. Saldana’s professional journey is also shaped by his background in healthcare and patient care. Before dentistry, he gained experience as a Patient Care Representative and Scribe at CityMD in New York City, and as a General Surgery, Emergency Room, and Cardiac Rehab Assistant at CHI St. Joseph in Bryan, TX. His strong foundation in healthcare, combined with his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Basic Exercise Physiology and a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University, further enhances his patient-centered approach to dentistry.

When asked what attracted Dr. Lee to dentistry, she responded “I grew up watching my dad donate his services as a dental technician to patients with disability. I saw how his work can directly impact one’s quality of life and happiness. I wanted to follow his steps and support the community with my career. That’s how I was drawn to dentistry.”

After graduating from Rutgers University with a Major in Chemistry, Dr. Lee attended dental school at New York University and received her Certification in Orthodontics with a Master of Dental Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Lee says, “One day, my patient hugged me and said, “Dr. Lee thank you. I can smile in front of my family and friends now.”

Changing one’s smile can drastically improve both oral function and confidence. The joy I see in my patients energizes me to work harder and better everyday. It’s truly a gratifying career”. In her free time, she likes to play the piano and sing. She finds herself often passing the time reading self-help books. She also enjoys snowboarding and playing tennis.

Dr. Min Kyung Shin is a board-certified orthodontist dedicated to delivering precise, evidence-based orthodontic care for patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a 3.96 GPA, and went on to complete her orthodontic specialty training and certification at Penn, where she achieved American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification.

Dr. Shin currently practices as a full-time orthodontist, where she specializes in diagnosing and treating complex malocclusions using both traditional braces and clear aligner therapy. She is recognized for her strong clinical outcomes, high consult-to-start conversion rates, and collaborative approach to patient care and team leadership.

With a strong academic foundation, Dr. Shin has an extensive background in orthodontic research and has been honored as a finalist at national and international research competitions. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and reflects her commitment to advancing orthodontic science and biomechanics.
